Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how WallVerse handles information when you use the WallVerse mobile application on Android or iOS.

1. Who we are

WallVerse is a mobile wallpaper application operated by an independent developer based in Finland. In this policy, “WallVerse,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the WallVerse application.

2. Information WallVerse does not ask you to provide

WallVerse currently does not require a user account. We do not ask you to submit your name, postal address, phone number, contacts, payment-card information, precise location, photos, camera content, or microphone recordings in order to use the app.

3. Information stored on your device

WallVerse may store app information locally on your device, including:

• wallpapers you mark as favorites;
• a history of wallpapers recorded in the app’s Downloads section;
• app preferences and privacy-consent choices; and
• temporary image files and caches used to improve loading speed.

This information is used to provide app features and is generally not uploaded by WallVerse to create a personal user profile. You can remove local app data through your device settings or by uninstalling the app.

4. Wallpaper downloads and photo-library access

WallVerse requests access needed to save a wallpaper that you choose to your device’s gallery or Photos library. On older Android versions, this may use storage permission. On iOS, WallVerse requests Photos-library permission for saving wallpapers.

WallVerse uses this access only to save the wallpaper you requested. The app does not upload, scan, analyze, or sell the personal photos already in your library.

5. Cloud content and technical data

WallVerse uses Google Firebase services, including Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Firebase Hosting, to deliver the wallpaper catalogue, image files, and this website. When your device connects to these services, Google may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as an IP address, request information, device or browser details, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs.

WallVerse does not currently use Firebase Authentication, Google Analytics for Firebase, or Firebase Crashlytics in the app.

6. Advertising

WallVerse uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner advertisements and voluntary rewarded advertisements. A rewarded advertisement is shown only after you choose to watch it to unlock a premium wallpaper download.

Depending on your region, device settings, consent choice, and the type of ad served, Google and participating advertising partners may process information such as:

• device or advertising identifiers;
• IP-address-derived general location;
• ad views, clicks, interactions, and reward completion;
• device, network, app, and diagnostic information; and
• privacy and consent signals.

This information may be used for ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency control, measurement, reporting, security, and—where you have given the required consent—personalized advertising.

7. Consent and privacy choices

Where required, WallVerse uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to present consent or privacy choices before requesting ads. Depending on applicable law and availability, you may be able to choose personalized, non-personalized, or limited advertising.

When a privacy-options entry point is required, you can reopen it from WallVerse Settings to review or change your choice. You may also limit advertising identifiers or tracking through your Android or iOS device settings.

8. Sharing a wallpaper

When you use WallVerse’s sharing feature, the app opens your device’s system share interface. You choose the destination app or recipient. Information shared through another app is handled under that app’s privacy policy and your device settings.

9. Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers to operate WallVerse, primarily Google Firebase and Google AdMob. These providers may process information for us or for their own permitted purposes under their terms and privacy policies.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce legal rights, prevent fraud or abuse, protect users, or maintain the security of WallVerse.

10. Legal bases for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the app, the need to provide a feature you requested, or compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time through the available privacy controls, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

11. Data retention

Local favorites, download history, preferences, and caches remain on your device until you remove them, clear the app’s data, or uninstall WallVerse. Google and other service providers retain technical, advertising, consent, and security data according to their own policies, settings, legal duties, and retention schedules.

If you contact us by email, we may retain the correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

12. International processing

WallVerse may be used worldwide. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, providers use recognized safeguards for international transfers.

13. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the app and information handled through it. No electronic transmission, storage system, or internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

14. Children’s privacy

WallVerse is not directed to children under 13 or to anyone below the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

15. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and to withdraw consent or appeal certain decisions. Because WallVerse does not use accounts and most app preferences are stored locally, we may not be able to identify data as belonging to a particular person unless you provide enough information for us to locate it.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when WallVerse’s features, providers, or legal obligations change. The revised policy will be posted at this address with a new “last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
